Battery Charger Model NRS-24/30

The National Railway Supply (NRS) charger model 24/30 is the recommended charger for 2600 Series AEI Reader systems. The NRS-24/30 is a convection-cooled, solid state, SCR regulated charger that provides either a constant current or constant voltage output. The charger can be set to charge batteries within a voltage range of 20.0 to 39.9 volts for gel-cell, liquid lead-acid, nickel cadmium, nickel iron, and starved electrolytic batteries.

NRS-24/30 Features:

Temperature compensated with control limits
SCR Regulation – Charger provides a constant current and constant voltage charge as well as an excellent AC line regulation for precise control.
Selectable Float Voltage – Allows battery voltage to be precisely set to the battery manufacturer specifications, within 0.10 of a volt.
Positive Voltage Setting – Select only the voltage setting. No other setting required. If preferred, voltage can be pre-set at the factory.
External Temperature Probe – Charger will monitor the exact battery temperature, which prolongs battery life and reduces maintenance caused by excessive heat and water loss.
Dual Input Voltage – Charger has been designed for either 115 or 230 volts AC.
Transient Protection – AC input and DC output have surge protection
Battery Types – All maintenance-free cells, lead acid cells, and nickel cadmium cells
All input/output connections are AAR standard binding post enclosed in a protective hinged cover.
